All our Total Mobility Drivers are highly qualified & experienced in assisting passengers with special needs. Proud of what they do and dedicated to their work our longer serving drivers have been driving wheelchair taxis for more than 17 years.

They have all exceeded Land Transport NZ & Gold Band Taxis minimum criteria. All drivers have also achieved their limited Credit Programme National Certicficate in a range of subjects specific to our industry.

Our late model Toyota HiAces are equipped with electronic wheelchair hoists that are fully certified and compliant to Australian & New Zealand standards. All our wheelchair vans are legally certified to carry a combination of up to 3 wheelchair passengers and a varying number of seated passengers.

In an effort to do our part for the environment, our petrol wheelchair vans have been converted to dedicated LPG.

Gold Band Taxis have dedicated telephonists to take your wheelchair bookings. Advanced bookings are recommended where possible. We will make every effort to satisfy your booking requirements. Our aim is to confirm realistic booking times that will not leave you waiting.
